TapToLink Affiliate Program Agreement
The complete, binding terms of the TapToLink Affiliate Program. Affiliates agree to these terms at enrollment. This is the “full” version — the summary shown on the public /affiliates page is a plain-language overview, and where the two differ, this agreement governs.
1. Eligibility & Enrollment
- You must be 18 or older and able to receive payment via PayPal or Wise.
- Enrollment is subject to approval. We may approve or decline any application, and may remove any affiliate, at our discretion.
- One person or business per account. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate attribution or payouts is prohibited.
- Tracking and payouts are managed by Rewardful, our third-party affiliate platform, integrated with Stripe. When you sign up at TapToLink, we enroll you in Rewardful automatically. Your referral tracking, commission calculation, and payouts are handled by an established platform — not a spreadsheet.
2. Commission
- You earn 40% recurring on every paid subscription from customers you refer, every month, for the life of that subscription.
- Free signups do not earn a commission on their own, but are tracked to you at signup. If a referred free user later upgrades to Pro — even months or years later — the commission is yours.
- Commissions are automatically adjusted for upgrades, downgrades, cancellations, and refunds, so your dashboard reflects real, collected revenue.
3. Attribution & Cookie Window
- Cookie window is 90 days: that’s the window for a click to become a signup.
- Once someone signs up through your link, they are bound to you permanently. The 90 days only applies up to that first signup.
4. Free Pro Comp
- Every approved affiliate gets Pro comped free.
- Onboarding runway: the activity check does not start until 30 days after you join.
- “Active paying referral” means a customer you referred whose paid subscription is currently active — not cancelled, lapsed, or refunded.
- To keep Pro comped in a given month, either (a) have at least one active paying referral, or (b) clear the activity floor — 25+ referral-link clicks or 1+ new referral (free or paid) that month.
- Because option (a) counts only currently paying referrals, the comp always tracks live revenue: if your paying referrals cancel, you simply fall back to the activity floor — there’s no permanent free ride from a single past referral.
- Grace: miss the requirement one month and Pro stays active with a heads-up email. Miss a second consecutive month and Pro drops to the free tier.
- Clear either bar again in any later month and free Pro is instantly restored.
5. Payment
- Each commission shows as pending for 30 days (a refund buffer), then becomes due, then is paid on the next monthly payout.
- Payouts are made monthly via PayPal or Wise once your due balance clears the minimum payout threshold of $50. Balances below the threshold roll over to the next month.
- You are responsible for any taxes on your earnings. We may require a W-9 (US) or W-8BEN (non-US) before issuing payment, and may withhold or report as required by law.
- If your account is terminated for a violation of Section 6, unpaid commissions may be forfeited. Commissions already paid are not clawed back except for fraud or refunds.
6. Prohibited Promotional Methods
Doing any of the following may result in withheld commissions and removal from the program:
- Paid-search brand bidding: bidding on “TapToLink,” “taptolink.app,” or close variants/misspellings in Google Ads or any ad network, or using them as a display URL.
- Trademark misuse: registering domains, subdomains, social handles, or app names containing “TapToLink” or confusingly similar terms.
- Spam: unsolicited bulk email, DMs, comments, or messaging that violates the CAN-SPAM Act or any platform’s rules.
- Cookie stuffing or any method that drops tracking without a genuine click.
- Self-referral: signing up or subscribing through your own link, or arranging for someone to do so on your behalf, to generate commission or clear the activity floor.
- Coupon / deal-site spam: posting fake or non-existent discount codes.
- Misrepresentation: promising features TTL doesn’t have, faking results, or implying official endorsement/partnership beyond “affiliate.”
- Malware, redirects, toolbars, or incentivized clicks (paying users to click).
7. Disclosure (FTC)
You must clearly disclose your affiliate relationship wherever you promote TTL, per FTC guidelines and the rules of the platform you’re on (e.g. “#ad,” “affiliate link,” or a visible disclosure statement). Two things make this easy: TTL’s free Affiliate Disclosure Generator produces ready-to-use disclosure text, and your TTL bridge page is a natural place to display it — the disclosure sits right in the warm-up step, before the visitor reaches the offer.
8. Brand Use
- Use only the logos, screenshots, and copy provided in the affiliate resources, unaltered (don’t recolor, stretch, or restyle the logo).
- Describe TTL accurately: a Linktree / Bitly / Carrd alternative, or the compliant way to run affiliate links. Don’t invent features or pricing.
- Approved product descriptions are provided in your Brand Assets; use those for copy you don’t want to write yourself.
9. Program Changes & Termination
- We may modify the program (including commission rates and terms) with reasonable notice. Changes are not retroactive to commissions already earned.
- And here’s a perk most programs don’t offer — hassle-free earning: even if you stop actively promoting, your recurring commissions on existing referrals keep coming on the normal schedule, for the life of those subscriptions. We make it as easy to earn as it is to sell — No logging back in, no keeping an account active just to hold onto what you’ve already built.
- Termination for a Section 6 violation may forfeit unpaid commissions per Section 5.
10. Relationship & Liability
- You are an independent contractor, not an employee, agent, or partner of TapToLink.
- The program is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, TapToLink is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your participation.
